Come learn the basics of automatic control by programming an Arduino to balance a ball on a beam!

PID controllers (proportional–integral–derivative) are used in a ton of applications. Understanding how they work can help you make systems behave the way you want. In this workshop, you'll program a PID controller on an Arduino to control the position of a ball on a beam that can be tilted up and down.

Some previous programming experience is recommended (i.e. you understand basic program structure stuff like for-loops, and data structures like int and float).

Since the number of ball-and-beam processes is limited, you must register to attend. We will send out a confirmation a few days before the event to confirm your place!
